Gal Gadot Teases Diana Prince’s Evolution in Wonder Woman 1984

Fans better be ready, because they will see a very different Diana Prince in the Wonder Woman 1984 movie. At least, that’s what actress Gal Gadot believes when it comes to the differences between the 2017’s origin story and its sequel. Speaking with Empire, Gadot explained that in the first Wonder Woman movie, Diana was just “a fish out of water” and didn’t understand “the complexities of life.” Things are going to change in the upcoming movie, though.

“Diana has evolved,” she said. “She’s much more mature and very wise. However, she’s very lonely. She lost all of her team members and she’s guarded. And then something crazy happens.”

The magazine has also revealed a couple of interesting shots from Patty Jenkins’s picture. The first one featured a closer look at Wonder Woman’s Golden Eagle armor, the magical-looking armor complete with removable wings. You can check a new look at Wonder Woman’s shining armor below. The other shot pictured Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince and Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor hugging in front of the iconic Lincoln Memorial.

And speaking of Chris Pine’s return as Steve Trevor, the actress also opened up about why he is still on screen after his apparent death in the previous film.

“Chris was an integral part of the movie, and of its success,” Gadot added. “And because he and I and Patty really enjoyed working together, we all wanted to have him back. And Patty and [co-writer] Geoff Johns found the best way that serves the narrative to bring Steve back.” But we’ll have to wait and see what way that is.

Wonder Woman 1984 will debut on August 14. What do you think about Diana Prince’s evolution? Let us know in the comments section below.
