Even the most beautiful love stories have to end someday, and the one between Hugh Jackman and Wolverine is no exception. After 17 beautiful years, the Australian actor said goodbye to his iconic member of the X-Men. However, on the third anniversary of the release of Logan, Jackman took to Instagram to share some never-seen-before shots at his iconic character.
“3 years ago, on this day, Logan was released,” the caption reads. “Thank you for the many (and I really mean MANY) years of sweat, steamed chicken and the role of a lifetime!”

In these last few days, several rumors pointed at The Witcher‘s Henry Cavill as Jackman’s successor, but so far they turned out to be false.
