In 2020, as Disney will debut a game show that tests the skills of young Star Wars fans. Disney has announced Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge, which will come to the Disney+ streaming service in 2020. The show will test players with a variety of “thrilling and fun obstacles,” all while trying to reach the rank of Jedi Knight.
Ahmed Best, who portrayed Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequels, will host Jedi Temple Challenge. Mary Holland will also voice Best’s robotic companion on the show.
“This is definitely a kids’ game show like no other,” said Lucasfilm’s Mickey Capoferri in a statement. “The various challenges will test a Padawan’s connection to the Force in three locations — a forest planet, onboard a Jedi star cruiser, and inside a Jedi temple — immersing them and the audience in a fun, humorous and exciting competition.”

Dan Silver, vice president of original unscripted content for Disney+, also shared a statement about the series.
“Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge brings together the best of Star Wars — competitive spirit, harrowing obstacles and a hero’s triumph over challenges — in a totally new format for the franchise. A game show set in the Star Wars galaxy is a perfect fit for Disney+.”
Thus far, there’s no release date for Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge. Until it arrives, the Star Wars content on Disney+ will consist of the classic movies, animated series, and The Mandalorian.
