Preacher season 4 episode 10 recap

Garth Ennis Looks Back At AMC’s Preacher Adaptation

Earlier this year, Preacher wrapped up its four season run on AMC. The TV adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s cult classic didn’t have the time to get to all of the stories and characters in the original comic. However, the show was able to wrap up its story before the end. Ennis recently spoke to CBR about his response to the show. Although he was largely happy with the series, he did critique the writing.

“I think the show had its moments. I’d be the first to admit it didn’t particularly set the world on fire — but on the other hand, four seasons is not bad nowadays,” said Ennis. “Great cast, great direction, great design. Writing was a bit up and down, but that’s the nature of the beast even on better TV shows.”

Ennis noted his appreciation that the series led fans to seek out collected editions of the Preacher comic. He also said that he’s more than happy to be associated with the show and the comic.

“If that’s the one I’m always known for, that my name will be associated with, then that’s fine by me,” added Ennis.
