Following the season 5 premiere of Supergirl, The CW has released the first promo for episode 5.02 which features the reigniting of an ancient sibling rivalry between Martian Manhunter and his brother Ma’alefa’ak. The episode will air on Oct. 13th. From the official description:
“Supergirl, Alex , and Brainiac (Jesse Rath) thwart an alien attack while William (Staz Nair) investigates Kara (Melissa Benoist). J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood) and Kelly (Azie Tesfai) use Obsidian tech to solve a problem.”
David McWhirter directed the episode, written by Dana Horgan & Katie Rose Rogers.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist (Glee) as Kara Danvers/Supergirl. Mehcad Brooks plays James Olsen, with Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott, and Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lena Luthor. The show also stars Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz.
Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series boasts executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner, and Jessica Queller. Moreover, Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, produces Supergirl.
