Supernatural’s Osric Chau Joins Crisis Crossover as the New Atom

Next year, Brandon Routh is leaving the Arrowverse behind after five seasons on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Routh has portrayed Ray Palmer/the Atom since Arrow season 3. But with Routh’s impending departure, there may be a new Atom on the way.

TV Insider is reporting that Osric Chau has been cast as Ryan Choi in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. Chau is best known for his recurring role as the prophet Kevin Tran on Supernatural. He also had a starring role in Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

Within DC’s comic book universe, Ryan Choi was the third hero to use the Atom’s name, and Ray Palmer’s direct successor. Choi inherited the Atom mantle and powers from Palmer, and gradually came into his own as a hero.
