D23: Black Panther 2 Release Date Set for May 6, 2022!

2019 Producers Guild Awards Film Nominations Announced

Straight from Hall D23 at D23 Expo 2019, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and filmmaker Ryan Coogler officially confirmed that Black Panther 2 is on the way! The Black Panther 2 release date was officially revealed as well with the sequel set to drop on May 6, 2020.

Feige confirmed that a treatment had been turned in by Coogler for the sequel, but details about plot or an official title were not given.

The first Black Panther arrived in February of 2018, but given the success of the sequel it makes sense for Marvel to position it in May instead. Despite a billion dollar haul in February, the sequel will fair just as well in the early summer slot.
