Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk Are Coming to Disney+

Last month, Marvel Studios made a big splash at Comic-Con when they finally revealed their Phase Four slate of films and TV shows. But just when we thought they announced everything they could, Kevin Feige took the stage at the D23 Expo to share even more surprises. The studio is currently developing new TV shows headlined by Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk for Disney+.

A series centering on Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, has been rumored for a while. Earlier this year, Mindy Kaling revealed that she discussed the project with Marvel, but she eventually walked back her remarks. Bisha K. Ali (Four Weddings and a Funeral) will be the showrunner for Ms. Marvel, which has yet to cast its leading lady.

Moon Knight is a character that Marvel fans have been wanting to see in live-action for years. Many viewers felt Marc Spector’s ghostly alter-ego would fit in perfectly with the heroes inhabiting Marvel’s Netflixverse. But now that the partnership with that streaming service has been severed, the studio had to look elsewhere. It’s anyone’s guess as to who the studio has in mind to play Marc on the series. However, Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington is reportedly a lock for a substantial Marvel property. We have to wonder if he’ll be devoting his life to Khonshu in the near future…

Out of all the new shows, She-Hulk was arguably the biggest shock of the evening. It’s hard to predict where Marvel plans to go with this character or how Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo will factor into the series. Regardless, we know of one actress who is very interested in bringing Jennifer Walters to life. Angie Harmon has repeatedly expressed her desire to play the lawyer-turned-gamma-powered superheroine. She even dressed up as the She-Hulk for Halloween in 2017.
