Report: The Falcon and The Winter Soldier May Film In October

News of Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV series first broke last fall. However, it wasn’t until Marvel’s Hall H panel at Comic-Con that fans finally got proper confirmation of its existence. Now, we have an idea of when filming might start on the team-up vehicle for Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. A new report from Production Weekly has revealed that cameras may start rolling on October 22.

The series will get underway at Pinewood Atlanta Studios, which has housed several other Marvel Studios productions. Production Weekly’s report also indicates that the show will film under the appropriate working title of “Tag Team.” This suggests that the footage screened in Hall H, which memorably featured Daniel Brühl’s Helmut Zemo donning the character’s iconic purple mask, won’t appear in the final episodes. It was probably just a Comic-Con teaser.

Beyond the fact that it’s set after Avengers: Endgame, details on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s plot remain scarce. Other than Brühl, it’s still not clear if other familiar faces from the MCU will guest-star throughout the show’s first season. It was reported back in May that Emily VanCamp was entering negotiations to reprise her role as Sharon Carter. However, VanCamp didn’t appear during the series’ Comic-Con presentation. It’s currently unclear if she’ll be joining the show.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney+ in the fall of 2020. Are you more excited for the series now that it might have an official start date? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
