Last year, Marvel Studios decided to skip its traditional Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. However, a new report suggests that Marvel will back in force at Comic-Con 2019 next month.
According to Deadline, Marvel is making its San Diego comeback in Hall H and it speculates that the Black Widow movie will be a key part of the presentation. Scarlett Johansson’s first solo Black Widow film is currently in production, and it may be the only movie that Marvel can currently show off. It’s widely rumored to hit theaters in May 2020, but that has yet to be confirmed by Marvel.
Another strong possibility for this year’s Marvel panel is the adaptation of The Eternals. Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, and others have reportedly been cast in the film. Perhaps director Chloe Zhao will introduce The Eternals cast at San Diego before production gets underway.

Beyond those two projects, Marvel doesn’t seem to have many films ready to go before the cameras. However, Marvel Studios is also producing a number of series for Disney+. Comic-Con may be the ideal time to showcase Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and other Marvel shows on the docket.
Additionally, Deadline notes that Marvel will also be included at Disney Films’ presentation at D23 in August. But it’s likely that Marvel will bring something noteworthy to Comic-Con while additional announcements are saved for D23.
