As soon as Spider-Man: Far From Home wraps up Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, new and more powerful characters are expected to debut in the upcoming Phase 4. According to a report by MCU Cosmic, John Wick and The Matrix star Keanu Reeves has been offered a role into the upcoming The Eternals. The negotiations have allegedly already begun, but the actor has not signed yet. The role Reeves has been offered is undisclosed at the moment.
This isn’t the first time Reeves has been close to making his debut in the MCU. Before John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Reeves was in talks to play Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel opposite Brie Larson’s titular character. However, he dropped out of the role due to scheduling conflicts with the third installment in the John Wick saga. Fans have wanted for long time to see Reeves in the MCU,

Should the negotiations go through, Reeves would join fellow actors Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden in the Chloe Zhao-directed movie. Rumor has it that Jolie is to play Sersi, while Madden is portraying Ikaris. Our guess is that Reeves will play Druig. In the comics, Druig made his debut in Eternals vol. 1 #11 as a former agent of the KGB who became Prime Minister of Vorozheika. He has the ability to manipulate matter and energy, he can teleport, and control the minds of others.
Reeves has previously starred as a comic-book hero in Francis Lawrence’s Constantine,back in 2005. More recently, he even expressed his desire to play Wolverine, but at the moment it doesn’t seem likely to happen.
