The last time we saw the Terminator franchise on the big screen was in 2015, with the poorly received Genisys. However, Paramount Pictured had promised a return to form with the next film, and this Thursday, we’ll see if he’s truly back or not.
Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Twitter earlier today to provide a sneak peek of what’s coming with Terminator: Dark Fate later this week. A trailer is set to make its premiere this Thursday at 9 AM EDT, bringing his T-800 back to action. Fans can check out the video below, where he confirms the trailer is “48 hours away.” There’s also a quick glimpse at its title logo.

This follows news from earlier this month that director Tim Miller was hard at work on the first Dark Fate trailer. In his tweet, he noted, “I like to spend every #TerminatorDay in a dark room thinking dark thoughts & our edit bay is the perfect place! We’re here putting the finishing touches on our FIRST TRAILER-we’re just weeks away from releasing this fucker into the wild & we’re very, very excited.”
Though the storyline for Dark Fate is being kept under wraps, it will skip over what happened in Terminator 3 and Genisys. Along with Schwarzenegger’s character, Linda Hamilton will make her return as Sarah Connor. The film also features a number of newcomers, including Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes and Diego Boneta.
