Fan Explains Selling His Avengers: Endgame Movie Tickets for $15,000

Avengers: Endgame has finally made it to the theaters and it has crushed several opening records worldwide. The Avengers euphoria, though, started way before, with the massive marketing campaign set up by Marvel Studios. Tickets for the movies went sold out as soon as they became available for the fans, and rumors of scalpers abounded. Some were real: Lance Harris is one of the fans who tried to sell his Endgame movie tickets on the secondary market, as he put them on eBay for for $15,000. In a recent interview with New Jersey News 12, 18-year-old Harris revealed that all he wanted to do was raising money for “tuition and everything in college”.

“My initial intent was to actually go see the movie because I’m a big ‘Avengers’ fan,” Harris said. “But then I saw online that someone was selling their tickets for $10,000 so I was like, why not add the bar to $15,000 and I could help out with tuition and everything for college.”

Then Harris explained that someone actually placed a bid on the tickets, but he canceled the sale after discovering the price was $15,000 and not $1,500. Despite that, eBay still gave Harris about $1,000 in credit. Eventually, News 12 mentioned that some theaters in the area are out of tickets for Endgame screenings until Wednesday.

The epic, three-hour final showdown between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Mad Titan himself is in theaters now. Do you think that the Avengers euphoria has gone too far? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below.
