Avengers: Endgame Shatters Records On Day One Around The World

Avengers: Endgame will fly into theaters stateside tonight, but the movie has already debuted around the world and is breaking records. The latest film from Marvel Studios has broken several records in every international market it opened in on Wednesday, China in front of them all. Now, Walt Disney Studios reports that Endgame has scored a cumulative $169M through Wednesday at the box office across 25 international markets. At the moment, the Russo’s movie has the highest industry opening day in several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Korea, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Greece and Egypt

Last year’s Infinity War saw the titular superhero team take the fight to Thanos in order to stop his attempt at exterminating half of the universe’s population with the Infinity stones. But it was to no avail, as he was able to successfully collect them all and snap his fingers, wiping out half of all life from existence in a cloud of ash.

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Endgame.
