Electronic Arts’ newest Star Wars game apparently has some serious writing power behind it. The follow-up to the EA’s Battlefront II will make its debut at Star Wars Celebration next month. Respawn Entertainment is developing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new game that features one of the writers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2.
KOTOR 2 scribe Chris Avellone recently confirmed his part on Jedi: Fallen Order while speaking with a fan on Twitter. “I can’t say 100% b/c of NDAs, but the ones I can say: I just finished up work with Jedi: Fallen Order– and beyond that, there’s another big bomb dropping in a month! Er, I mean, maybe. Ahem.”
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 came out back in 2004 as the sequel to KOTOR, one of the most beloved Star Wars video games. His extensive credits include Neverwinter Nights 2, Planescape: Torment, and Fallout: New Vegas.

Last week, EA confirmed that Jedi: Fallen Order would be part of Star Wars Celebration. The publisher noted on Twitter that the game would be unveiled on April 13. For those not in attendance, expect live stream details soon.
It’s currently unknown what kind of game Jedi: Fallen Order will be. The safe bet is a first person action/shooter. Respawn has made several great games in those genres, including the Titanfall series and Apex Legends.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order doesn’t have a current release date, but it may debut later this year.
