Though The Flash won’t return until March, The CW has released the first batch of promo photos for episode 5.15, titled “King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd.” Though without an official look at the titular battle, the photos offer a look at the human version of King Shark, Shay Lamden (guest star Dan Payne). Set to air Tuesday, March 5, the episode is officially described as follows:
“THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN – When Gorilla Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) attacks Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash find themselves teaming up with an unexpected ally to defeat – King Shark (voiced by David Hayter). However, when they hit a snag, they bring in Dr. Tanya Lamden (guest star Zibby Allen) to try to reach the man behind the shark, Shay Lamden (guest star Dan Payne).”
Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode which was written by Eric Wallace & Lauren Certo.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen aka the speedster hero XS, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton with Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. Chris Klein (Election, Oz, American Pie) has joined the cast to play the new scourge of Central City, Cicada. A grizzled, blue-collar everyman whose family has been torn apart by metahumans, Cicada now seeks to exterminate the epidemic — one metahuman at a time.
