Nickelback Deserves Respect in the Newest Once Upon a Deadpool Trailer

newest Once Upon a Deadpool trailer

Ryan Reynolds’ own YouTube account has released the latest trailer from the upcoming PG-13 version of this summer’s Deadpool 2, now titled Once Upon a Deadpool. Here, Fred Savage, playing himself as Deadpool’s hostage, trashes Nickelback, which sends the Merc with a Mouth into a fit where he sings praises about the Canadian rock band, who end up as a go-to punchline despite their worldwide popularity. You can check out the trailer in the post below!

Once Upon a Deadpool will contain footage from Deadpool 2, but edited down to a PG-13 format which means cutting some of the violence and language. Fans can also expect new footage “in the form of a framing sequence” in the revamped film that Ryan Reynolds and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick devised for the project.

Fred Savage will reprise his role from the 1987 classic, The Princess Bride, in the new framing sequence alongside Reynold’s Deadpool. Eight scenes were filmed for the new footage in the upcoming project. Additionally, the movie will raise money for charity. For every ticket sold, $1 will be given to F-ck Cancer.
