Krysten Ritter to Make Directorial Debut in Jessica Jones Season 3

Deadline has confirmed that Krysten Ritter, who plays the title character in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, will be making her directorial debut during the third season of the series, which was renewed in April.

Ritter said: “I am beyond thrilled to make my directorial debut on Marvel’s Jessica Jones. The entire crew and cast has become family to me, and I’m so appreciative of the opportunity to work with our incredible team in this new way. I am so grateful that Melissa Rosenberg, Jeph Loeb, Marvel, and Netflix entrusted me to take the reins.”

The new season of Jessica Jones recently started production in New York City, and details concerning Ritter’s episode are not been released. The first two seasons of the series are available to binge now on Netflix.

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by a returning cast that includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.
