Marvel’s Runaways Renewed for Season Two at Hulu

Hulu has announced that it has renewed their new series Marvel’s Runaways for a second season for 13 more episodes of the series.

“We’re thrilled about ‘Runaways’ Season 2. Our partnership with Josh [Schwartz] and Stephanie [Savage] and Hulu has been as exciting as the reaction to the show from our fans — both new and old!” said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel TV.

“We’re so privileged that Marvel and Brian K. Vaughan trusted us with Runaways,” said Executive Producers and Co-Showrunners Schwartz and Savage. “We couldn’t be more excited to continue telling this story. It’s been a blast making the show with the cast and crew. We can’t wait to see where we can take the story in Season 2 and to stay on the run.”

Schwartz and Savage continued, “The conversations with the fans have been gratifying. We hear and see you. We appreciate your passion and hearing how much the show means to you. Beware the possibility of a dinosaur on the streets of Los Angeles…and earthquakes!”

Marvel’s Runaways is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. The Hulu original series is based on the Marvel comics created by the award-winning team of Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona. The cast for the series includes Ariela Barer (New Girl, One Day at a Time) as Gert Yorkes, Lyrica Okano (The AffairUnforgettable) as Nico Minoru–tough, Rhenzy Feliz (Teen WolfCasual) as Alex Wilder, Gregg Sulkin (Faking ItDon’t Hang UpAnti Social) as Chase Stein, Virginia Gardner (GoatLittle Bitches) as Karolina Dean, and Allegra Acosta (100 Things to do Before High SchoolJust Add Magic) as Molly Hernandez.

The season one finale for Marvel’s Runaways will premiere tomorrow, January 9, on Hulu.
