Like the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi Dolby Cinema poster, earlier ones have shown Luke Skywalker hovering over the rest of the characters. Some fans have pointed out that all the posters for the earlier seven films have had the bad guy in the same position, looming large in the background. What does this mean for Luke Skywalker? Has he gone over to the dark side or has he become a grey Jedi? Mark Hamill, who plays the role, recently commented on whether or not Luke has gone dark. You can check out his comments here.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson (BrickLooper) and continues the storylines introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, welcoming back cast members Mark Hamill, the late Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy RidleyJohn BoyegaLupita Nyong’o, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. New cast members will include Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern, and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.

The sequel is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in regular and IMAX theaters on December 15, 2017.
