Construction Begins on Aquaman’s Lighthouse Home for Solo Movie

Production is already underway for the upcoming Aquaman movie, but Gold Coast Bulletin now brings word of construction on the Curry family lighthouse for the upcoming movie. Construction on the location is being set up at Hastings Point in New South Whales, which coincidentally is known as a famous whale watching spot. You can check out the photos of the construction by clicking here!

An icon for over 75 years, Aquaman is known by fans of DC Comics as the ruler of Atlantis who is also committed to protecting the entire globe, both land and sea. Shooting is currently underway on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, with extensive filming to be accomplished at Village Roadshow Studios. Filming will also take place in Newfoundland, Sicily and Tunisia.

The Aquaman cast includes Jason Momoa as the titular King of Atlantis, with Amber Heard as his wife Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Ludi Lin as Murk, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Michael Beach as Jesse Kane.

Directed by James Wan from a script by Will Beall, Geoff Johns and Wan, the film is being produced by Peter Safran, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Aquaman will hit theaters December 21, 2018. Audiences will get to meet the character again quite a bit sooner than that, however, as Aquaman is a key member of the Justice League. Heard is also supposed to make her debut as Mera in the film. Look for the superhero ensemble to hit the big screen November 17.
