CS sits down with Drax himself, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista

Although Drax made his first comic book appearance way back in a 1973 issue of Iron Man, many fans were not aware of Marvel’s cosmic destroyer until his big-screen debut, played by professional wrestler and mixed martial artist-turned-actor Dave Bautista in James Gunn‘s first Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, with Vol. 2 just under two weeks away, ComingSoon.net is thrilled to bring you the first in an ongoing series of interviews with the Guardians cast and crew. In the player below, you can watch our conversation with Bautista himself wherein he discusses the growth of Drax as a character and the changes made between the Drax of the comic and the Drax of the film. The star even reveals why he wasn’t a fan of the sequel’s script until he sat down at the first table read.
