First Look at Mr. Freeze on Gotham Revealed!

First look at Mr. Freeze on Gotham revealed

Ahead of the mid-season finale tonight, FOX (via USA Today) has released our first look at Mr. Freeze on Gotham, set to be played by House of Cards co-star Nathan Darrow. Check it out below.

“Victor has one central intimate human connection, and that’s with his wife,” Darrow tells the newspaper. “There’s something really, really interesting and vulnerable and difficult about that. Of course, that is threatened by her illness. In some of the research I did on the character as he has evolved in the comic book, he has a more tenuous connection with humanity and his own humanity, and she’s it. He is applying all his talents and skills and energies to maintaining that…He’s pretty focused on what he’s doing. He is on a very special, independent project. I feel like he does go to work each day, but I think he gets time to work from home and it feels like his bosses are OK with that because he’s specially talented and he’s working on something that could be potentially of great value for who he works for. So he’s pretty much involved in this pursuit and it’s rather solitary, as you might imagine.”

Darrow goes on to reveal that, possibly for his own good, that he never saw Arnold Schwarzenegger’s version of the character in Batman & Robin but instead focused on the character’s story from the pages of DC Comics. He also went on to tease the character’s Freeze Gun in the series, saying:

“I will tell you we’re going to see Mr. Freeze do some things we have never seen him do.”

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, James Frain as Theo Galavan, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Nicholas D’Agosto as Harvey Dent, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen.
