Jessica Jones Set Photos Show a Bloody Krysten Ritter

New photos reveal Krysten Ritter on the Jessica Jones set!

It’s a busy day for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! On the heels of a viral video with a potential long-range effect on the MCU and the announcement that Elodie Yung will be joining “Daredevil” season two as Elektra, comes a dozen new photos from the Jessica Jones set. In the gallery viewer below, you can take a look at “Breaking Bad” and “Don’t Trust the B- In Apt. 23” star Krysten Ritter as she films scenes for the upcoming Marvel series and, apparently, gets a bit bloody in the process. Keep scrolling, too, for our previous Jessica Jones set photos.

Taking place after a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, the new series follows Jessica Jones (Ritter) as she rebuilds her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City (which happens to be exactly where these Jessica Jones set photos were taken).

Also starring on the show are the previously-announced David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) as Kilgrave, Rachael Taylor (Shutter, Transformers)  as Patsy Walker, Mike Colter (Zero Dark Thirty, Million Dollar Baby) as Luke Cage, Carrie-Ann Moss (The Matrix, Memento) as Harper, Eka Darville (“The Originals,” “Empire”) as Malcolm, Erin Moriarty (The Kings of Summer, The Watch) as Hope, and Wil Traval (“Once Upon a Time,” “Red Window”) as a NYPD cop.

Melissa Rosenberg (“Dexter”) serves as executive producer and showrunner of the series. “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” is set to premiere on Netflix later this year. It’s likely that we’ll hear more about this series during Comic-Con International this week, so check back for updates as they become available!

If you want to get caught up on the comic book adventures of Jessica Jones, Marvel recently reprinted their Alias Omnibus, which includes the entire 28-issue run by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos.
