Terminator Genisys Sequel: The Cast and Crew Weigh In

Will there be a Terminator Genisys sequel? Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke and more weigh in!

Terminator Genisys is now showing in theaters and, as fans check it out throughout the July 4th weekend, many are wondering, “What’s the plan for the future of the franchise?” That’s exactly the question we posed to stars like Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”), Jai Courtney (The Divergent Series) and Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. You can check out their comments — along with insight from director Alan Taylor and producers Dave Ellison and Dana Goldbertg — in the player below! Courtney also answers the mildly spoilerish question, “What was up with Kyle Reese walking away unharmed after getting hit by a car?” His answer probably isn’t what you’re expecting!

In the film, when John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…

If you missed them earlier this week, be sure to check out our previous Terminator Genisys interviews with Emilia ClarkeJai Courtney and Jason Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Also starring J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matthew Smith, Courtney B. Vance and Byung-Hun Lee, Terminator Genisys features a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier and is now showing in theaters.
