Marvel Studios’ next anticipated superhero movie will be their introduction to Ant-Man on July 17, starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Peña and more. While we’ve already had a chance to see the movie, we can’t say much about it just yet, although we are able to report something most will want to know about. (We’ll have a review on July 8, just before the start of Comic-Con.)
While Ant-Man has been said to be the end of Marvel Studios’ Phase 2, it’s actually worth staying through the end credits, because there are two end credit tags that tease the upcoming Phase 3, which starts with Captain America: Civil War in May of 2016, as well as the future of Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We can’t say much more than that, but if you’re already a fan of Ant-Man, you’ll enjoy the first tag which teases someone we might see in a future Marvel movie, and then the second tag at the very end of the credits is a direct link to one of the upcoming movies. (Hint: An Avenger makes an appearance during the main story, but we won’t say who or why.)
That’s all we’re able to say, so feel free to make some guesses about what you might expect to see when you stick through the end credits for Ant-Man on July 17. If you want to learn more about Ant-Man’s history, be sure to check out Ant-Man: Origins and Evolutions!
