Prequel Comic to Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar Debuts with Art by Sean Gordon Murphy

Following the news yesterday of the “See Interstellar as much as you want” ticket at AMC, Wired has debuted a seven-page prequel comic to Chirstopher Nolan’s latest film featuring art by Sean Gordon Murphy (The Wake, Punk Rock Jesus). We’re going to issue a spoiler warning though if you haven’t seen the film, as the prequel comic tells the story of a very prominent cameo in the film. Titled “Absolute Zero,” they describe the comic as follows:

“Before Cooper left his daughter to find humanity a new home in space, there were the Lazarus missions. Led by Dr. Mann, this was NASA’s first attempt to locate a hospitable exoplanet. So what happened to Mann on the other side of the wormhole?”

You can read the full comic by clicking here, but you can also own it in print in the December issue of Wired which was guest-edited by Nolan himself. Interstellar is currently playing in theaters and has brought in over $320 million at the global box office.
