For the past three weeks, Marvel Comics were debuting a series of one off teaser images for Summer 2015, ranging from in continuity stories such as Civil War, House of M, and Avengers vs. X-Men to the elseworlds stories of Planet Hulk, Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies, and Old Man Logan. Since the teasers began, we believed them all to be related to the upcoming Secret Wars series, and we were right as Marvel has released a new video showing that these stories will make up the all-new “Battleworld” for Secret Wars 2015.
Introduced in the original Secret Wars back in 1984, Battleworld was a patchwork planet created by The Beyonder that served as (surprise, surprise) the battle ground for the entire series. What this video confirms is that all of these stories will make up the world for the new Secret Wars, but how will that all work out and how does it relate to the cryptic “Everything Ends” teaser? Secret Wars is set to begin in May 2015 from writer Jonathan Hickman with art by Esad Ribic and covers by legendary artist Alex Ross.
