Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm have announced the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII ! Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film. Director J.J. Abrams says, “We are so excited to finally share the cast of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

Meet the Star Wars Episode 7 Cast
John Boyega
A relative newcomer, Boyega is most well known for the 2011 Joe Cornish film "Attack the Block," as well as last year's "Half of a Yellow Sun." He's also slated to appear in the upcoming "24" revival, "24: Live Another Day."

Daisy Ridley
Another newcomer, Ridley has appeared in such TV series as "Mr Selfridge" and "Silent Witness" and stars in the upcoming horror film, "Scrawl."
Adam Driver
Seen most recently in the HBO hit series "Girls," Driver has appeared in a number of films ranging from large Hollywood pictures such as "Lincoln" and "J. Edgar" to smaller movies like "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Frances Ha."

Oscar Isaac
Isaac was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of the title character in the Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis," though his credits also include "Won't Back Down," "Sucker Punch" and "The Bourne Legacy."

Andy Serkis
Serkis is most well known for providing the voice and motion capture for Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" films, but he has also appeared in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Adventures of Tintin" as well as the title ape in Peter Jackson's "King Kong."

Domhnall Gleeson
Even if the name doesn't ring a bell, Gleeson has appeared in some fan-favorite films including the final entries in the "Harry Potter" series along with 2012's "Dredd" and the 2010 remake of "True Grit." Last year, he starred in "About Time" and can be seen coming up in "Frank," "Calvary," "Unbroken" and "Ex Machina."

Harrison Ford

Mark Hamill

Anthony Daniels
