Twentieth Century Fox Picks Up Mark Millar’s Superior for the Big Screen

Much like many of his previous comic titles, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Twentieth Century Fox has picked up the Mark Millar comic series Superior to develop as a feature film. Longtime Millar collaborator Matthew Vaughn will produce the film, which is currently looking for a screenwriter.

Created by Millar and Leinil Francis Yu in 2010, the seven-issue series is officially described as follows:

“Simon Pooni had it all going for him – plenty of friends at school and good looks, and his coach called him one of the most talented basketball players he’s ever seen. But that was when he could still move his legs. Now, he’s living with multiple sclerosis, missing all the little things he used to take for granted, and escaping into the world of movies and comics with his best friend. Then…SUPERIOR entered his life.”

Superior joins the other Millar-penned titles that are currently in development at Fox, including Starlight, Nemesis and Kindergarten Heroes, with their most recent adaptation, The Secret Service, hitting theaters on October 24.
