Has the Sin City Sequel Had a Title Change?

Much like its protagonist Dwight, Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City sequel may be getting a new face. Bloody Disgusting snapped this pic of promotional art for the film at the American Film Market and it bears the name “Sin City: A Dame to Die For” instead of the previous title Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Might this simply be the title in foreign markets? That’s possible, but check back for a possible official confirmation on the title change soon.

The film stars Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Julia Garner and Stacy Keach.

The film weaves together two of Frank Miller’s classic stories with new tales in which the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on August 22, 2014.
