Leave it to the merchandising for Man of Steel to give us a better look at the characters’ costumes than any official photos or trailers have yet. Earlier this week, we posted a story about the Halloween costumes offering a better look at Zod (we were then asked to remove the photos), but now we’ve got something better. Sent in by Michael Croteau, the latest copy of “Previews” featured a look at some statues for the upcoming film that give you a good look at what Superman, General Zod, Jor-El and Faora’s costumes look like. Check out the scans below.
Flying into 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on June 14, the Zack Snyder-directed action adventure also stars Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff.
In the film, a young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
