Powers Pilot Greenlit

An adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s “Powers” has been greenlit by FX, Bendis just confirmed through his Twitter account.

“It’s official!” the author jokes, “your window of reading Powers while it was still cool is running out.”

The series, which was announced for development last year with “Journeyman” creator Kevin Falls writing the pilot, tells the story of police detective in charge of investigating superhero-related homicides.

If previous reports pan out, Michael Dinner (“Karen Sisco,” “Kidnapped”) will direct the pilot.
