Universal Pictures has started airing this first TV spot for Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, starring Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh and Jason Schwartzman.
In the action comedy opening August 13, Cera plays 22-year-old charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim, a bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, who has just met the girl of his dreams…literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him. The film tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker’s quest to power up with love.
