Along with Will Reeve, the film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.

Frank Grillo was also spotted in costume as Rick Flag Sr., a character he’ll first play in the animated Creature Commandos series releasing this December, on the set of Superman.

Additionally, Sean Gunn has been cast as Maxwell Lord in the DCU, while Milly Alcock is playing Supergirl, though it’s unknown whether either of them will appear in Superman.

Superman officially began production on February 29, 2024. Production is expected to last through August. The film will be part of the DCU’s first chapter, which is called “Gods and Monsters.”
