What we do know about Venom: The Last Dance?

Plot details for Venom: The Last Dance remain under wraps at this time. Tom Hardy is once again playing Eddie Brock/Venom in the film, while Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo are also starring in the film in undisclosed roles.

Venom: The Last Dance is the feature film directorial debut of Kelly Marcel, who wrote the first two Venom movies along with 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks and 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey. Marcel co-created the story with Hardy, who both serve as producers alongside Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Hutch Parker.

The first Venom movie, directed by Ruben Fleischer, was released in United States theaters in October 2018. It proved to be a huge financial success for Sony, bringing in approximately $856.1 million at the global box office off an estimated $100-116 million budget.

The Andy Serkis-directed sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, followed in October 2021. It made less at the global box office, bringing in $506.9 million off a $110 million budget.

While Hardy made a cameo in the MCU’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, all three Venom movies are part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, as are both 2022’s Morbius and 2024’s Madame Web. Following Venom: The Last Dance, the Aaron Taylor-Johnson-starring Kraven the Hunter will hit theaters this December after it was delayed several times.

Venom: The Last Dance releases in United States theaters on October 25, 2024.
