FURIOSA : A MAD MAX SAGA | OFFICIAL TRAILER #2

What is Furiosa about?

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus,” reads the synopsis. “Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

During a recent appearance at Brazil’s CCXP, director George Miller spoke briefly about the film. Miller confirmed that Furiosa is set to take place “15 years directly before Fury Road” and that the movie will lead right into Fury Road.

“It’s really the story of Furiosa and how she got to there,” said Miller (via World of Reel). “So a lot of the film will be familiar, a lot of it is new — unseen before.”

Miller kept quiet on if Max himself would be in the film, simply saying that, “Max is lurking around somewhere around this story,” so fans will have to wait for more information on that.

The movie is set to release in U.S. theaters on May 24, 2024 from Warner Bros. Pictures.
