Venom 3 Spider-Man: No Way Home

Venom 3 BTS Photo Shared by Tom Hardy Hints at Spider-Man: No Way Home Connection

A new Venom 3 behind-the-scenes photo shared by star Tom Hardy hints the upcoming Sony movie may have a connection to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

On Instagram, Hardy shared a new behind-the-scenes image from the set of Venom 3. “Two Masters of their own destiny and two randoms from SW London spinning in the cosmos one with a compass the other wears his wetsuit and carries an aubergine,” Hardy’s caption reads.

Hardy is noticeably dressed in the same clothes that his Marvel character, Eddie Brock, briefly wore during the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Given that Eddie was sent back to his own reality at the end of the 2021 Spider-Man movie, this means that Venom 3 could be set immediately after the events of No Way Home, though this has not been confirmed by Sony at this time.

What do we know about Venom 3?

Venom 3 marks the sixth entry in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. A sequel to 2018’s Venom (directed by Ruben Fleischer) and 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage (directed by Andy Serkis), Venom 3 comes from writer and director Kelly Marcel.

Hardy is reprising his role as Eddie/Venom in the movie, while Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo have all been cast in undisclosed roles. Plot details for Venom 3 remain under wraps at this time.

Hardy and Marcel, who came up with the story for Venom 3 together, are producing the movie alongside Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

Having been delayed because of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strike, Venom 3 releases in United States theaters on November 8, 2024, from Sony Pictures.
