The Batman Part 2 Production Start Reportedly Revealed

A recent report has potentially set a new production start date for the highly anticipated The Batman: Part II.

According to a new report from World of Reel and MM News, the sequel to the hit Batman film is set to begin production in August. This comes after the fact that production was originally set to begin in November 2023, but was delayed a bit instead.

With the film set to begin filming over the summer, World of Reel also noted that a deadline of February has been set for Reeves and the team behind the film to submit the script to James Gunn. Casting news should follow soon after that, with more information ramping up as it gets closer to August.

The release date for the highly-anticipated follow-up film is still October 3, 2025, though World of Reel’s report notes that this could change depending on a number of factors.

What do we know about The Batman: Part II?

Little is known about the plot of The Batman: Part II so far, though Robert Pattinson is set to return as the titular Dark Knight. The first film did tease the Joker and leave the Riddler alive at Arkham, so one or both of these iconic antagonists could make a return.

The first film, The Batman, stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Ferrell as Oswald Cobblepot/ Penguin.
