James Gunn Reveals How Much He Looks at Fan Casting

James Gunn has opened up about the casting process for movies, revealing that he sometimes looks at fan suggestions for who he casts in roles.

In a recent post to the Threads social media platform, Gunn noted that he will occasionally look at fan suggestions for roles, although it’s never led to any actual casting.

“When I’m casting a role I will sometimes see who fans have suggested online for folks I or my casting directors haven’t considered,” said Gunn in his post. “Sometimes they have good ideas, sometimes terrible ones. I don’t remember it actually leading to someone being cast, however.”
