Brie Larson Speaks on Captain Marvel’s MCU Future: ‘There Is Just So Much More to Go’

Brie Larson isn’t planning to step away from the MCU anytime soon.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Larson, who plays Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, spoke about what might come next for the character following the release of The Marvels.

“I think there is still so much inside of Carol,” Larson said. “I feel like getting to be on this team just cracked her open in a way that she hadn’t been and I really loved that for her.”

She continued, “I just loved her letting the shoulders drop a little bit [in The Marvels], and not need to feel like all the responsibility was on her. So I think that there is just so much more to go. She is just a great character to continue to grow with. It’s like, as I am growing she is growing.”

Larson further hinted that Captain Marvel will return for “something” Marvel-related in the near future, though she didn’t specify any details beyond that.

“I don’t want Marvel to come for me, but there is something,” she said. “There is definitely something, to answer your question, that I would want to say, but I am not going to.”
