Spider-Verse Post-Credits Scene

Phil Lord Reveals Cut Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Post-Credits Scene

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse writer and producer Phil Lord has revealed what occurred in the movie’s cut post-credits scene.

In an interview with Indiewire, Lord was asked about why the Marvel animated sequel had no post-credits scene. The writer stated that it was “hard to beat where we left off,” then elaborated on a cut scene that featured The Spot trying to order a drink at a Spider-Man villain bar but going unnoticed.

“And then he [Spot] finally steals the drink for himself and he pours it down and it all leaks out of his holes,” Lord revealed. “He’s the dorkiest villain. A great line that Chris wrote, though: ‘Trying to fill a hole in his heart with more holes.’ Not a great method.”
