Robosen’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime Robot Is $200 Off

Robosen Robotics announced on Thursday that it has created a new collectible robot based off of Optimus Prime in the upcoming film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

What is the new Robosen’s Optimus Prime?

The new Transformers figure comes through Robosen’s ongoing partnership with Hasbro and Paramount Pictures, and is not only meticulously crafted, but also comes with “advanced programmable” capabilities as well as voice-activated interactions.

According to Robosens, the collectible robot features 69 custom-engineered microchips, 21 high-precision servo motors, and over 40 motion mechanics. The robot comes in at a whopping 16 inches tall, and also features voice lines recorded by the legendary voice actor Peter Cullen, who voices the iconic character.

Robosens notes that fans will be able to “chat, command, and call” the robot using their voice, and that a companion app can act as an “Action Center” to get the Optimus Prime to do a variety of things, including move around (but not transform, sadly).

The special, Limited Edition Optimus Prime is available to pre-order now, but will set you back a bit. The robot retails for $699, which Robosen says is $200 off its initial $899 price tag.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is slated to premiere on May 27, 2023.
