Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Karen Gillan has posted a video blog chronicling some of the filming of Nebula’s scenes in the Marvel Studios sequel.
The behind-the-scenes video is about 25 minutes long and shows a fair amount of the process that goes into filming a Marvel movie. The actress undergoes Nebula’s makeup process and practices choreography for the movie’s big hallway fight scene and also shows off her trailer and explains some of the routines that she follows throughout filming. Director James Gunn and fellow star Sean Gunn appear alongside quite a few crew members, while viewers can also see Karen Gillan filming a scene with a Rocket stand-in on the High Evolutionary’s ship.

What is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 about?
“In the film, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days,” reads the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel’s synopsis. “Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was directed by James Gunn and was released in theaters on May 5. The sequel heavily features the backstory of Rocket — the armed and snarky raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper — and his history with the film’s villain, The High Evolutionary (played by Chukwudi Iwuji). Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now playing in theaters.
