Natalie Portman played Padmé Amidala in all three of the Star Wars prequels. Padmé first appears in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and is introduced as the queen of Naboo. Throughout the prequels, she goes on to become a dedicated senator that fights for liberty in the galaxy while also secretly being married to Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker. The character would also appear frequently in the animated series The Clone Wars, where she was voiced by Catherine Taber.
