Dave Filoni Star Wars Movie Title Reportedly Revealed

The Dave Filoni Star Wars Movie title has reportedly been set.

What is the Dave Filoni Star Wars movie title?

According to Twitter user MyTimeToShineHello, Dave Filoni‘s Star Wars movie title will be called Star Wars: Heir to the Empire. Filoni was announced as the director of a new Star Wars film at Star Wars Celebration London, along with James Mangold (Logan) and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel).

MyTimeToShineHello reports that Jon Favreau, co-creator of The Mandalorian, is just producing. For now, “It’s all Filoni.”

Filoni’s Star Wars film is set to focus on the New Republic and close out the interconnected stories in The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, Rebels, and The Clone Wars. Filoni’s live-action film marks the end of a nearly two-decade journey that began with The Clone Wars.

“I grew up with a lot of stories in the expanding universe that were exploring what happened after Return of the Jedi,” Filoni explained to Variety. “And since Force Awakens is 30 years on out from Return of the Jedi, we have room then to tell another story. That’s what I’m coalescing into this time period.”

It is unknown which characters from the Disney+ series will appear in the live-action film. The status of Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka, Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze, Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett, and Grogu will be a major point of discussion.

Filoni’s Star Wars movie is undated. However, it will come after Obaid-Chinoy’s Star Wars film that continues the sequel trilogy and follows Daisey Ridley’s Rey. That film has a rumored winter 2025 release.
