While not too much is known about the upcoming Fantastic Four film from Marvel Studios, recent rumors have begun circulating about who could be playing The Thing in the upcoming MCU film.
A recent report from Twitter user MyTimeToShineHello, a noted movie insider and “scooper” for comic book films, notes that Marvel Studios has been looking at actors to play The Thing in the upcoming film. While the insider didn’t say much, he noted that the studio was looking “at Jewis actors, both male AND female” to play the role.
He also name-dropped Mila Kunis (That ’70s Show, Black Swan, Friends with Benefits) as one of the actors that Marvel Studios is reportedly looking at. Of course, nothing is set in stone as of yet, with no official casting for any members of the iconic group having been revealed.
Who Will Be Cast in the Fantastic Four Movie?
While it’s unclear who will play the role of the Fantastic Four members, rumors have begun heating up as to who Marvel Studios might be eyeing. Recently, reports that Adam Driver had been offered the role of Reed Richards appeared, with other reports suggesting names like Jodie Comer and Elvis star Austin Butler has been eyed to appear in the movie.
Official casting for the film hasn’t been announced yet, but The Office alum John Krasinski recently made his debut as a variant of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Marvel’s Fantastic Four comic book series, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, debuted in 1961 and was the first superhero team title produced by Marvel Comics. The film is set to make its debut during Phase 6 of the MCU on February 14, 2025.
