[Spoiler] Seemingly Confirms His Return In Doctor Strange 2

The Marvel multiverse is in play after WandaVision, Loki, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. That’s one of the reasons why Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is rumored to feature a few familiar faces from the non-MCU Marvel movies. During the Super Bowl trailer for the film, fans thought that they recognized the voice of Patrick Stewart, the actor who first portrayed Professor X in Fox’s X-Men films. While Stewart has previously deflected questions about his return, he apparently confirmed the rumor during an interview with Jake’s Takes. confirms his return.

According to Stewart, the response to the vocal cameo caught him off guard.

“I had my phone turned off as it happened, so I didn’t hear anything,” related Stewart. “It wasn’t until the next morning when I woke up and looked at my phone and found that I had been bombarded with responses and that my PR people had sent me reactions that they had detailed and passed onto me… I actually didn’t recognize my own voice, it sounded different. Whether I had a cold or something at the time, I don’t know. But I was astonished, and all they saw was the back of my shoulder, and I think my earlobe, nothing else. There would have been so many connections made. But…it pleased me.”

Stewart also hypothetically shared how Charles Xavier would react to meeting Doctor Strange.

“Professor X would be extraordinarily cautious and watchful, and perhaps feel a little insecure,” said Stewart. “Because there is something that is potentially dangerous about this man. I think that would put Professor Xavier on guard.”
