Batgirl Movie Adds Actress Rebecca Front and Two More

Having cast all its leads for a while now, HBO Max’s Batgirl is filling out the supporting roles. Today, The Hollywood Reporter brings news that three more actors join the project. Most noteworthy is Rebecca Front, who previously worked with HBO on the sci-fi comedy Avenue 5. Her long and varied resume includes comedy and drama, from I’m Alan Partridge and The Thick of It to War and Peace and Poldark. On the blockbuster front, she was Aunt Marie in Transformers: The Last Knight and a therapist in Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.

Batgirl also adds Corey Johnson, a character actor who frequently plays military men. He’s also not unfamiliar with superheroes, having played an Agent in the original Hellboy, a goon in Kick-Ass, a warden in X-Men: First Class, and someone named Mr. Fox in the upcoming Morbius. He also notably appeared as Donald Trump in the comedic series The Windsors.

Finally, Ethan Kai rounds out the newly added trio. The Killing Eve actor is primarily known in the UK as Kasim Sabet on the long-running soap Emmerdale Farm.

No word yet on who any of these three will play. They join Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne, and Brendan Fraser as a villain widely rumored to be Firefly. HBO Max has no scheduled release date as of yet.

What do you think of these cast additions? Could they be playing anyone significant? Let us know in comments.
