Sony Debuts a New Preview Scene From the Uncharted Movie

While Sony delayed Morbius earlier this week, the studio is still planning on releasing its long-awaited Uncharted movie next month. Tom Holland is starring in the film as Nathan Drake, a young treasure hunter with a talent for getting into trouble. And as you can see in the first preview scene from the film, Nate’s already hanging on for dear life.

Within the clip, Nate distracts his enemy, Braddock (Tati Gabrielle), so he and his mentor, Sully (Mark Wahlberg), can escape. However, Nate’s stunt soon proves to be far more dangerous than he intended. Players of the Uncharted games may find this sequence somewhat familiar. But this is no quick time event.

Why is Sony holding firm on releasing Uncharted in February? It doesn’t hurt that Holland is currently starring in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the biggest blockbuster of the pandemic era. So far, all of Holland’s most successful films have been in the MCU. But this is his chance to prove that he’s a bankable star. If Holland’s presence can make Uncharted a hit then it will cement his status as an action hero and a rising star.

Uncharted will open in theaters on February 18.
